Who we are
Guardia Designs, LLC (“Guardia Designs”, “the studio”, “we”, “us”) is an interior and landscape design studio working between Phoenix, Arizona and Mexico City. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit guardiadesigns.com, write to the studio, request a consultation, apply to the trade program, reserve a book, request a swatch, or subscribe to the newsletter.
For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, Guardia Designs, LLC is the data controller for the information described here.

Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to answer you and to run the studio.
Information you give us:
- Contact details — your name and email address when you write through the contact form, subscribe to the newsletter, or request the design guide.
- Project details — the message you write, and, if you request a consultation, your phone number, preferred date and time, timezone, and notes about the project.
- Trade applications — your company name, business type, website, Instagram handle, typical project volume, reseller licence details, and the collections you are interested in.
- Reservations and requests — the city a book should ship to and how many copies, plus swatch requests, restock alerts, and the pieces you save to a wishlist.
- Account details — if you create a member account, your email address and a password. Passwords are stored in hashed form; we never see them.
Information collected automatically:
- Page measurement — the page you viewed, a random session identifier and a persistent visitor identifier held in your browser, and the site that referred you.
- Analytics — Google Analytics (GA4) with IP anonymisation switched on, which reports visits and the pages read.
We do not collect payment card details. If you make a payment through the site, the card details are handled by our payment provider and we receive only a confirmation of the transaction.
How we use your information
- To answer you — replying to enquiries, arranging consultations, and following up on trade applications and swatch requests.
- To do what you have asked — sending the design guide, confirming a book reservation, telling you when a piece is back in stock, and keeping your wishlist.
- To send the newsletter, where you have asked to receive it.
- To run and improve the site — understanding which pages are read and which collections resonate.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We rely on your consent for the newsletter, on your request for the services you ask us for (and the contract that follows), and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the studio for everything else. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Where your information is held
The studio works between Mexico and the United States, and our service providers may store information in the United States or the European Union.
Where information is transferred out of the UK, the European Economic Area, or Mexico, we rely on the safeguards our providers put in place — such as standard contractual clauses — together with the fact that we keep the records we hold deliberately small.
How long we keep information
- Enquiries, consultation requests, trade applications, and swatch requests — for as long as it takes to answer you, and then up to three years so we can pick the conversation back up.
- Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe.
- Book reservations and wishlists — until the reservation is fulfilled, or until you ask us to remove it.
- Measurement records — up to 24 months.
- Financial and tax records — for the period the law requires.
When a retention period ends, the records are deleted.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your information.
- Stop sending you the newsletter.
- Stop measuring your visits, and delete the measurement records we hold.
Write to raquel@guardiadesigns.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area, or Mexico, you also have the right to object to processing, to ask us to restrict it, to receive your information in a portable format, and to complain to your data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you may ask to know what personal information we hold, to delete it, or to correct it. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
How we protect your information
Access to studio records is limited to the people who need it, and administrative access requires signing in. Information is encrypted in transit.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we keep what we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection there is.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted on the site.
How to contact us
Questions about this policy, or about the information we hold about you, go to raquel@guardiadesigns.com. You can also reach the studio through the contact page.
Postal enquiries can be sent to the registered address given at the top of this policy.

Social platforms and third-party links
The site links to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other platforms. When you follow one of those links, that platform’s own privacy policy governs what it collects.
We receive only the aggregate statistics those platforms give us about our own accounts — follower counts, reach, and engagement — and never information about who you are.
