Curated wall textiles, wallpapers and rugs
La Colección Textil

Surfaces That
Hold Memory

Wall textiles, wallpapers, and rugs curated directly from artisan hands across Mexico, Oaxaca, and beyond. Each piece carries a provenance.

The Standard

Why these pieces,
not others

01

Natural dyes only

Cochineal, indigo, pomegranate rind. No synthetic shortcuts. The slight variation in tone is not a flaw — it's the signature of the hand.

02

Direct from the maker

Every piece is sourced through a direct relationship with the artisan or their collective. No middlemen. Full provenance, always.

03

The pattern has a story

Geometric forms that encode cosmological maps, family histories, agricultural calendars. Ask, and we'll tell you exactly what yours says.

Artisan weaving on a backstrap loom in Oaxaca

The Craft

Made by hand.
Carried by memory.

Every rug, wall textile, and wallpaper in this collection was made using techniques passed down through generations — not courses, not workshops. Actual lineage.

Zapotec weavers in Teotitlán del Valle hold entire pattern libraries in their hands. No written designs. The knowledge lives in muscle memory, taught loom-side from grandmother to granddaughter over years.

This is what Raquel sources: not just beautiful objects, but records of a living tradition. When you hang one of these pieces in your home, you are participating in keeping that tradition alive.
